Come join the Minnesota Association for Play Therapy for a two hour late-night-learning training on the topic of Play Therapy Intervention To Address The needs of Autistic And Neurodivergent Children with Dr. Robert Jason Grant, the creator of AutPlay® Therapy!
This training will introduce participants to the neurodiversity paradigm in application. Concepts such as neurodiversity and implementing neurodiversity affirming practices in play therapy will be explained. Several neurodivergent related considerations will be covered and neurodiversity affirming play therapy interventions will be highlighted.
This training will focus on neurodiversity and meets APT requirements for Cultural and Social Diversity hours.

CEs: This training is approved by the Minnesota Association for Play Therapy (APT Approved Provider 06-177) for 2 APT Non-Contact CEs. Play therapy credit may not be given to non-mental health professionals.

- Implement play therapy approaches/interventions to help meet the mental health needs of autistic and other neurodivergent children.
- Describe at least four structured play therapy interventions that can be used with autistic children and adolescents.
- Describe special considerations when implementing play therapy approaches with autistic and neurodivergent children.

Dr. Robert Jason Grant is the creator of AutPlay® Therapy. He is a therapist, supervisor, and consultant and utilizes several years of advanced training and his own lived neurodivergent experience to provide affirming services to children and their families. He is an international trainer and keynote presenter and multi-published author of several articles and books. He is currently serving on the board of directors for the Association for Play Therapy.
